The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute ( OLLI ) at UNCW is part of anetwork of national lifelong learning institutes partially fundedby endowments through the Bernard Osher Foundation. OLLI focuses onengagement with southeastern NC through innovative educational andexperiential lifelong learning programs for persons ages 50+. OLLIat UNCW currently serves a thriving community of >1700 olderadults, through non-credit academic, experiential, active andsocial lifelong learning programs.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
This position plays a pivotal role in multiple critical areas,primarily program assistance, volunteer coordination, andadministrative and technical support. The Program Assistant will bean essential entry-level team member, contributing to the successand growth of our institution.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training andexperience. All degrees must be received from appropriatelyaccredited institutions.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
- Master’s degree or higher
- 1+ years experience working in customer service with olderadults
- 1+ years experience in event planning or program execution
- 1-3 years of communication, writing, and editingexperience
